1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any service provided by UniBHost ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Services Provided

UniBHost provides web hosting, domain registration, and related digital infrastructure services. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Billing & Payment

• All prices are displayed in USD or your local currency equivalent and are billed annually unless stated otherwise.
• Invoices are generated before the renewal date. Payment is due within 7 days of invoice generation.
• Our Lifetime Price Lock Guarantee means the price you sign up at is the price you renew at — forever, as long as your account remains active and in good standing.
• Accounts with overdue invoices may be suspended after a 7-day grace period and terminated after 30 days of non-payment.
• Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of initial payment for shared hosting plans. Domain registrations are non-refundable.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use our services to:

• Host, distribute, or transmit illegal content of any kind
• Send unsolicited bulk emails (spam)
• Launch distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or any form of network abuse
• Host phishing pages, malware, ransomware, or other malicious code
• Infringe upon any intellectual property rights of third parties
• Conduct activities that violate any applicable local, national, or international law

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

6. Resource Usage

Hosting accounts must operate within the resource limits of their plan (disk space, bandwidth, CPU). Excessive resource usage that negatively affects other customers on shared servers may result in temporary throttling or a mandatory upgrade.

7. Uptime & Service Level

We strive to maintain 99.9% network uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance. Downtime caused by factors outside our control (force majeure, third-party provider outages, client-side misconfiguration) is excluded from uptime guarantees.

8. Data & Backups

While we perform regular off-server backups on eligible plans, you are ultimately responsible for maintaining your own backups. UniBHost is not liable for data loss resulting from hardware failure, client error, or malicious activity.

9. Intellectual Property

All content you upload to your hosting account remains your property. By using our services, you grant UniBHost a limited licence to store and serve that content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your client portal. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms, remain unpaid beyond the grace period, or are determined to pose a risk to our infrastructure or other customers.

11. Limitation of Liability

UniBHost's liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users by email for material changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, and password (stored encrypted).

Billing information: Payment amounts, transaction references, and invoice history. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed through secure third-party gateways (CamPay, Stripe).

Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps — collected automatically for security and analytics purposes.

Support communications: Messages and files you submit through our support ticket system.

Hosted content: Files, databases, and emails stored on your hosting account.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provision and manage your hosting services
• To process payments and send invoices
• To send transactional emails (account creation, invoices, service alerts)
• To respond to support requests
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the following legal bases: contractual necessity (to provide the services you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention), and legal obligation (tax and regulatory compliance).

• Payment processors (CamPay, Stripe) — to handle transactions securely
• Hosting infrastructure providers (Verpex/cPanel) — solely to provision your account
• Domain registrars (eNom, Porkbun) — for domain registration under ICANN requirements
• Law enforcement or regulators — only when legally required

All third parties we work with are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and currency preference. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from remaining logged in.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account termination, we retain billing and invoice records for 7 years to comply with financial regulations. Support tickets are retained for 3 years. You may request deletion of non-legally-required data at any time.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage of sensitive credentials, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
